JIM MYERS' HISTORY
Roger Myers and Mr. Jim Myers
In 1975 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jim Myers opened “Jim Myers Drug Inc.”, and coincidentally accelerated his career in the Pharmaceutical industry. With $7,000 in borrowed capital, he opened a small, independent drug store staffed with only three employees. The objective of that store was to provide high quality products and service to its customers and to assume the household reputation of being “Your Friendly Family Pharmacy.” A sincere commitment to individual customers is the philosophy of the organization.
Though the years, the Company has expanded its operations to include other ventures and to increase growth. However, the Company has never lost sight of its original mission in being a family oriented pharmacy which provides the best of service to its customers.
Today, the Company is composed of several entities; including Jim Myers Drug, Jim Myers Capstone, Jim Myers West, Jim Myers Towers, Jim Myers South, Jim Myers Home Care, and Jim Myers Orthotics & Prosthetics. As a composite, the Company provides services such as retail pharmaceutical sales, industrial and institutional pharmaceutical sales, medical delivery services, and a host of similar lines of business.
